Why do you think you get heartburn?  Modern medicine has created this image of this big, bad, evil stomach squirting horrible acid all over the place.  Then the wonderful acid reducer (Tums, Zantac, Prilosec) comes to the rescue to give you relief.  What if I told you that this is not the case at all?  What if I told you that we are fearfully and wonderfully made, and the stomach acid serves a function in your body?

Most of the time, heartburn or acid reflux occurs because we have a poor diet. Shocker right? We eat food that is made in a chemistry lab and our body has not figured out the best way to digest it.  Or we eat huge meals that are difficult for our body to keep up with.  Over time, what happens is our body does not digest the food fast enough.  This causes reflux to occur, heartburn to happen, gall bladder pain (because it is overworked). So what do you do?

Instead of making the problem worse by decreasing the amount of acid needed to digest your food, lets aid our body in digesting with some supplementation.  Below I have mapped out a plan to help you start your journey in balancing out your digestive tract.  This will help you avoid some of the nasty side effects of acid reducers and increase your overall quality of life!

Rainbow Light Advanced Digestive System

This works to give your gall bladder and pancreas a break.  It aids in digestion by providing enzymes to help break the food down fast to get it out of your stomach quicker thus preventing the reflux of stomach acid into your esophagus.

Take 1 before every meal. Up to 3x/day.

 

American Health Original Papaya Enzyme

This is kind of an emergency (I have heartburn) treatment.  It soothes the stomach and helps calm down the discomfort.

Take up to 3 when you have heartburn.

 

PB8 Probiotics

This helps by regulating your flora and helping your digestive tract function optimally.  This will not only aid in digestion but boost your immune system.

Start off by taking 1 per day with food and then advance to 2 per day after 2 weeks.
